After 28 years, Ken transitioned over to the construction side of the Corps of Engineers, where he spent 2 years in command of the Southwestern Division in Dallas, Texas and 3 1/2 years in command of the Transatlantic Division in Winchester Virginia, which included the last tour in Iraq for 16 months.  He then served as the Deputy Commanding General for Military and International Operations in the Corps of Engineers Headquarters, Washington DC.
MG (Ret) Cox deployed 3 times in his career, all to Iraq, while also spending almost two years traveling in and out of Afghanistan.  The first two tours were while serving on the operational side, and the last deployment and visits to Afghanistan while serving with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
Prior to assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer with Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, Ken was the Executive Director for the Heart of Texas Defense Alliance (HOTDA) for two years.
