Leadership Killeen Silhouettes Unveiled at Chamber Ribbon Cutting

The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce proudly celebrated the unveiling of the Leadership Killeen Silhouettes with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at One Santa Fe Plaza. The event marked the completion of a meaningful public art installation that reflects the strength, creativity, and collaboration of the Killeen community.

Originally envisioned as a project by the Leadership Killeen Class of 2023–2024, the Silhouettes have come to life as a permanent and interactive installation designed to engage residents and visitors alike. The project stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved when community members come together with a shared vision.

Crafted by the Central Texas College Welding Program and installed by Rogers-O’Brien Construction Company, the Silhouettes showcase the talent and dedication of local students and industry partners. The installation represents not only craftsmanship, but also the spirit of leadership development that is at the heart of the Leadership Killeen program.

“Today’s Silhouettes unveiling celebration was a bold declaration of who we are as a community, honoring the greatness that has walked these streets before—and if you look around, you’ll see it’s still walking among us today,” said Marita Walters, investor services program manager for the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce. “Through the Leadership Killeen program, this project stands as a living monument to what’s possible when leaders, businesses, and students come together and choose to build greatness—because in Killeen, greatness doesn’t just visit, it’s created here.”
