Furniture Zone is hosting a grand opening ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday in collaboration with the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce.
The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce added 88 new members in the past year, which brought the chamber’s membership total to 468.
Central Texas College hosted a dedication celebration at the Skylark Field Airport Saturday afternoon. The event honored William P. Jones, who donated $1.3 million to the school’s aviation fund. It included a hangar dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Killeen Economic Development Corporation elected new officers on Tuesday as part of its October board meeting, which took place at 8 a.m. downtown at the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce, 1 Santa Fe Plaza.
A grand opening for the new center, located at 3400 E Central Texas Expressway in Killeen, is being held at noon on Wednesday in collaboration with the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce. The new center shares a building with Advanced Pain Care’s east Killeen clinic.

The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce’s 91st annual banquet on Thursday evening attracted approximately 385 people. Scott Connell, president of the chamber, described the event as great, saying, “It was a nice full house.”
The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce held its 91st annual banquet at the Killeen Conference and Civic Center, 3601 S. W.S. Young Drive, on Thursday evening. The Roy J. Smith Award was presented to Timothy Hancock, a business owner and former mayor of Killeen. Six other awards were given out honoring businesses and individuals for their contributions to the community over the past year.
