The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual banquet on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center, 3601 S. W.S. Young Drive. This year marks the 91st chamber banquet.
The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Leadercast series event on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Manna Church, 1826 Stagecoach Road in Killeen. The event will feature a variety of different authors and business executives.
The Killeen Economic Development Corporation attempted to hold a meeting of the board of directors on Thursday morning but failed to meet a quorum. The board still received a presentation from Texas A&M University–Central Texas and reviewed financial information.

The state’s largest industries, by revenue, in 2023 were: gasoline & petroleum wholesaling ($298.1 billion); oil drilling & gas extraction and petroleum refining ($210.9 billion); and petroleum refining ($170.2 billion).
This upcoming Friday, the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce will introduce ReWax and Unwine, a fun candle-making experience, to the Killeen community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its grand opening.
