Dustin Evans is a Harker Heights/Killeen native, U.S. military veteran, and local small business leader with a strong commitment to the economic growth and vitality of Central Texas. He is the founder and co-owner of Southern Roots Brewing Company, which operates three locations across the Central Texas region, and serves as Director of Operations for Precision Tune Auto Care of Central Texas. Through Southern Roots Brewing Company, Dustin has played an active role in the continued revitalization of Downtown Killeen and has worked collaboratively with fellow business owners to Strengthen local engagement and economic activity.

Dustin was appointed to the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Council in September 2025. Since joining the Council, he has contributed the perspective of a small business owner while supporting efforts to advance policies that encourage regional economic development, business growth, and expanded opportunities throughout Central Texas.

He is an active member of the Downtown Killeen Merchant Association and the Texas Craft Brewers Guild. Through the Guild, Dustin serves on the Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee and has contributed to legislative advocacy involving regulatory and operational issues affecting Texas craft breweries and small businesses.

Dustin also serves on the City of Killeen Main Street Advisory Board, further demonstrating his commitment to Downtown Killeen, community development, and public-private collaboration.

His combination of business leadership, military service, legislative engagement, and community involvement provides valuable experience for his proposed service as Sector Chair of the Public Policy Council and as a member of the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
