Centex Technologies Awarded Subcontract by Deloitte to Help Develop the Army’s Cyberspace Analytics
Killeen Chamber member Centex Technologies announced that it has been awarded a subcontract by Deloitte, in support of their effort to provide the Department of the Army with a cyberspace analytics capability. Deloitte’s contract with the Department of the Army is a firm-fixed price contract with a value of approximately $18,000,000.
The Army has limited ability to actively predict and reconnaissance against advanced cyber threats. This is partially due to its current cyberspace analytics capability. Under this subcontract, Centex will work with Deloitte to remedy this limitation by providing data engineering and data analysis services. Centex will develop analytics to provide more structure to Army data and which will be able to model behavior.
“We are proud to support Deloitte on this project, especially since it is so important to the country’s security,” says Abdul Subhani, President & CEO of Centex Technologies and Past Chair of the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce (GKCC).
Defense and cybersecurity are two target industries of the research park and innovation district being developed by GKCC’s 14 Forward Foundation. This announcement is a significant step towards making these goals a reality.
GKCC President John Crutchfield explains, “With Fort Hood and Operational Test Command next door, Killeen is a natural place for this kind of work to occur. We have the talent in our community to do more of this kind of work, and indeed we know that other companies are already doing work in defense and cyber locally. This announcement shows that Killeen is developing into a tech-savvy city where these industries can thrive.”
