Banquet Award Winners
Roy J. Smith Award
The Roy J. Smith award is given for outstanding community leadership. This award is dedicated to an individual for lifelong contribution to improving the Central Texas area. Our community was blessed with the leadership efforts and outstanding work done by the late Roy J. Smith. The area’s most prestigious award has been named in his honor.
Community Hero Award
This award is given for outstanding community servanthood. It is dedicated to an individual who displays exceptional heroism and selfless service in the Central Texas area. A Community Hero has great empathy and compassion for others and offers aid even in the face of adversity or personal danger because they genuinely care about the well-being and safety of others.
Large Business Award
This award is given to the major business in the Killeen area that has had the greatest positive impact on the area and the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce. Businesses with more than 50 employees are eligible. The selected business will have displayed the spirit of teamwork and will be active in projects benefiting the Greater Killeen area.
Small Business Award
This award is given to one of the small businesses in the Killeen area that is a member in good standing with the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce. Businesses with less than 50 employees are eligible. The selected business will have contributed greatly of their time and talents on many of the projects benefiting the chamber and the Greater Killeen area.
Non-Profit of the Year Award
This award is given to one not-for-profit in the Killeen area that has a positive impact on the area and the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce. All nonprofits in the Killeen area that are Chamber members are eligible. The selected organization has shown a history of dedicated impact and mission to serving the community’s needs.
