2018 Women’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Grant Awarded to Business Resource Center

Workforce Solutions of Central Texas submitted an application on behalf of the Business Resource Center (BRC) for the Texas Workforce Commission’s 2018 Women’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Grant in December 2017. The BRC has was recently awarded the grant, which will be used to present a two-day workshop for female entrepreneurs this summer. The workshop will support potential and existing female business owners in the Greater Killeen/Ft. Hood area by offering educational training and development opportunities.

Presentations will include topics such as Being Your Own Boss, Business Financing, Business Plan Basics, Why a Business, and more. Participants will learn to develop a plan for businesses they may want to start or expand, while exploring skills and experiences needed to run a business. They will also learn about legal concerns, financial assistance resources, and business strategies.
